Dilemma?

Hi everyone, this is another random thought posting. I am currently in a weird spot right now with this blog. I'm trying to get the word out about it, but at the same time I don't want it to look unprofessional, since I want this to represent more than just me talking about books I like. I want it to be something worth reading, and I'm feeling like a lot of the weekly memes and whatnot (with the exception of Top Ten Tuesday) are detracting from the credibility of the blog. And I know that sounds kind of snobbish, but I don't want it to get cluttered, since I haven't been able to post too many reviews lately.

Does anyone have any thoughts about this?

  1. I took the route of the "non-meme". I created my own instead. Just two that I do every week and then "reader ramblings" posts so that I can talk about reader-related topics. I think you just need to find a style that you are comfortable with. Otherwise you just won't enjoy blogging.

    Just my thought anyway.

  2. Thanks! I think that's what I'll do. I feel weird about participating in memes.

  3. I noticed this on mine too. I decided it is more important for me to produce the quality review posts then participate in all the memes

  4. Ditto! I think aside from TTT and the occasional IMM or Blog Hop I won't be doing any. I was never keen on the other ones anyways. I think that I can think of more interesting things to talk about than do memes all the time. I think I did the Blog Hop to find new blogs to read and what not but I'm kind of over it because I feel like it is mostly the same people.
